IELTS classes in Hadapsar for IELTS Exam Preparation course

IELTS (International English Language Testing System) is the test to check English Language proficiency of the candidates. The candidates who want to go abroad for education or work. The candidates can take up this test from British council or IDP centers.

IELTS exam has two types :

General Training: Required for immigration purposes
Academic Training: Required to study abroad, countries like UK, Ireland, Germany, USA, Canada, and Australia, New Zealand etc
The test consists of four basic language modules. (LRWS)

Listening: It is the first module of the test with 4 audio clips of native speakers. There are 4 parts (40 Qs) and in each part 10 Questions are asked. The candidates need to write the answers in the answer sheet. It is a 30 mins test and Paper based test candidates get 10 mins extra to transfer their answers in the answer sheet.

Reading: Many candidates find this module tough to score better. It has 3 sections with 40 questions. The word count of 3 sections is around 2500-2800 words per test. All of the questions are MCQs. The given time of this test is 1 hour and here we don’t have 10 mins extra to transfer the answers.

Writing: This module is made of 2 tasks. Task 1 (20 mins and 150-180 words) for academic candidates is report writing whereas general module students have to write a letter. Task 2 (40 mins and 250-280 words) is an essay writing. The Evaluation of this task is done with T.A/T.R, C.C,L.R and GRA.

Speaking: It is a kind of face to face interview between the candidate and the examiner. It is divided into 3 parts as introductory part, cue card and 1-1 question & answer session. It takes around 11-14 mins for the test. The evaluation is done with the help of fluency, grammar, task achievement, body language and confidence.
